How to Increase Account Security on Heshket

Introduction

Account security is essential for protecting your funds and personal data.
Heshket provides multiple security features that allow you to strengthen account protection and reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

This article explains how to access the Security settings and how to enable available protection methods on Heshket.

How to Access Security Settings

On Mobile

1. Open the Heshket app.
2. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
3. Tap your profile name / email address at the top of the screen.
4. Select Security.
    

On Web

1. Log in to your Heshket account.
2. Click on your profile icon or email address.
3. Open the Security section.
    

You will see all available security options in this section.

Available Security Methods

Authenticator App

An authenticator app provides an additional verification step using time-based one-time passwords (TOTP).

• Protects your account even if your password is compromised
• Required for sensitive actions such as withdrawals or security changes
• Recommended as the primary security method
   

To enable:

1. Select Authenticator App.
2. Scan the QR code using your authenticator app.
3. Enter the verification code to confirm.
    

Email Security

Your registered email is used for:

• Login confirmations
• Security alerts
• Transaction notifications
• Account recovery
  
   

Make sure your email account itself is secured with a strong password and, if possible, its own two-factor authentication.

Password

Your password is the first line of defense for your account.

Security recommendations:

• Use a strong and unique password
• Avoid reusing passwords from other platforms
• Update your password regularly
   

To change your password:

1. Open Password in the Security section.
2. Enter your current password.
3. Set a new secure password and confirm.
    

Phone Number

Linking a phone number adds an extra layer of protection and can be used for:

• Login verification
• Security notifications
• Account recovery
   

Ensure that the phone number you link is active and accessible only by you.

Auto-Lock Feature

The Auto-lock feature helps prevent unauthorized access when your device is left unattended.

Auto-Lock Timing Options

You can choose when the app locks automatically:

• Immediately
• 1 minute
• 5 minutes
• 10 minutes
• 30 minutes
• 1 hour
• Never
   

Shorter intervals provide stronger security, especially on shared or mobile devices.

Biometrics

Biometric authentication allows you to unlock the app using supported device biometrics, such as:

• Fingerprint
• Face recognition
   

Biometrics provide fast and secure access while preventing unauthorized use.

Pattern Lock

Pattern lock allows you to unlock the app by drawing a custom pattern using 9 connected points.

• Adds an extra security layer for quick access
• Pattern is stored securely on your device
• Recommended together with biometrics or auto-lock
  
   

To enable:

1. Select Pattern in the Auto-lock settings.
2. Draw your custom pattern.
3. Confirm the pattern to activate.
    

Recommended Security Setup

For maximum protection, Heshket recommends enabling:

• Authenticator App
• Strong password
• Verified email and phone number
• Auto-lock with a short time interval
• Biometrics or Pattern lock
   

Using multiple security layers significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

Important Notes

• Never share your password, verification codes, or recovery information.
• Heshket support will never ask for your password or authentication codes.
• Always verify the website or app before entering login details.
