Introduction
A crypto deposit is a transfer of digital assets from an external wallet or exchange to your Heshket account.
However, there are situations where a deposit may be delayed or not appear in your account balance immediately after sending.
This article explains the most common reasons why your crypto deposit has not arrived on Heshket and what steps you can take to resolve the issue.
How Crypto Deposits Work
When you send crypto to your Heshket deposit address:
- The transaction is broadcast to the blockchain network.
- The network begins processing and confirming the transaction.
- Heshket credits your account only after the required number of confirmations is reached.
The number of required confirmations varies by asset and must be completed before funds appear in your balance.
Common Reasons Why a Deposit Has Not Arrived
1. Waiting for Network Confirmations
The most common reason is that the transaction is still being confirmed by the blockchain network.
Example:
- You send 0.5 ETH to your Heshket deposit address.
- The transaction appears on the blockchain but has only 2 out of 12 required confirmations.
- Heshket will credit your account once all required confirmations are complete.
2. Sent to an Incorrect Address
If the deposit was sent to a wrong or outdated address, the funds will not arrive in your Heshket account.
- Always copy your deposit address directly from the Heshket platform
- Double-check the full address before confirming the transaction
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible — funds sent to the wrong address cannot be recovered
3. Wrong Network Selected
Each asset can operate on multiple blockchain networks. Sending funds on the wrong network is one of the most common deposit errors.
- Example: sending USDT via the TRC-20 network when your Heshket address supports ERC-20 only
- Always verify that the network selected in your sending wallet matches the network shown on Heshket
- Deposits sent on an unsupported network may be lost or require manual recovery
4. Network Congestion
During periods of high activity, blockchain networks can become congested, causing transactions to take longer than usual to confirm.
- Your transaction may be stuck in the mempool waiting to be processed
- Low transaction fees can also cause delays during peak network usage
- In most cases, the deposit will arrive once congestion clears
5. Minimum Deposit Amount Not Met
Heshket requires a minimum deposit amount for each asset. If the amount sent is below this threshold, the deposit may not be credited.
- Check the minimum deposit amount for your asset in the Heshket deposit section
- Deposits below the minimum may not be processed automatically
6. Deposit Address Has Changed
Some assets on Heshket use dynamic deposit addresses that may change over time. Using an old address may cause the deposit to go undetected.
- Always generate a fresh deposit address each time you make a deposit
- Do not reuse addresses saved from previous sessions
How to Check the Status of Your Deposit
To investigate a missing deposit, follow these steps:
- Copy the transaction hash (TxID) from your sending wallet or exchange
- Look up the transaction on a blockchain explorer (e.g. Etherscan, BscScan, Tronscan)
- Verify the destination address, network, and confirmation count
- Check the Deposit History section on Heshket for the transaction status
Where to Check Your Deposit Status on Heshket
You can review your deposit activity in the account section:
- Deposit History — all incoming transactions with their current status
- Transaction Details — network, amount, confirmation count, and timestamp
These sections help you track the progress of your deposit in real time.
Important Notes
- Crypto deposits require blockchain confirmations before they are credited
- Always verify the deposit address and network before sending
- Transactions sent to wrong addresses or networks cannot be reversed
- Network congestion may cause temporary delays
Always double-check all deposit details before confirming a transaction on the blockchain.
